In life, there aren't many guarantees. But I can guarantee that you won't regret getting outside for a walk in the winter. (Unless you slip or fall or something, but aside from that.) I could ramble on about how amazing nature is for our brains, bodies, and souls, but experiencing it is the best way to be convinced. Every year, I'm learning more and more to embrace the things that I have no control over. I have no say in the fact that it's winter, but I can bundle up well and accept its cold and snow and slush as well as its beautiful skies, sparkly snow, smiling red cheeks and drippy noses.

Bonus: snow is like free childcare! Bundle them up and let them loose in it and they'll be occupied for hours. A friend shared a recipe for snow ice cream with me (thanks, Kim!) which I can't wait to make with the boys tomorrow.
